Ultrasound Capabilities
We have this for all our patients too! Because an ultra sound instrument can be used for many different cases or scenarios with a pet. It can be used to aid in detecting pregnancy in a female and help give a head count for an estimated litter size. Ultra Sounds can also help detect cancerous like activity in several regions of the body or identify a pocket of dangerous fluid where it should not be. This instrument is so important to veterinary medicine, as it assists the doctors and technicians on a day-to-day basis with standard patient visits and then can also be the component that saves an animal's life in an evaluation after a very traumatic event has occurred. Ultra sound instruments allow us to see details inside the patient that we would otherwise have to guess at or gamble on. Being prepared for 5 puppies when only 2 have been birthed, allows the owner and Doctor to react more quickly to the situation and make decisions on if a C-section or assistance is needed by the patient.
